Out of every Radiance card revealed so far, Neeko, Blending In is the one people will be arguing about, as she’s Riftbound’s first neutral domain Champion Unit (Switzer, 2026), and what she does is even stranger than that label suggests.

What the card does
Neeko costs 6 Energy and has 4 Might, and because she’s neutral she can go in a deck of any domain (Riot Games, n.d.). The interesting part is her ability. If Neeko is in your deck, you choose three different Legends on top of your starting Legend. When you play her, you pick one of those three and add it to your Legend Zone, and it stays there for as long as she stays on the board (Riot Games, n.d.).
Read that twice, because it breaks one of the basic assumptions of the game: while Neeko is on the board, you have two Legends at once.
Why it matters
First of all, she fits everywhere. Most powerful cards are locked to a domain, but Neeko isn’t, so every deck in the format at least has to consider her. She’s also flexible in the middle of a game, as you choose which of your three backup Legends to bring in when you play her and not when you build the deck, which means you can pick the one that answers the matchup in front of you.
On the other hand, she’s a real investment. Six Energy is a lot, and the second Legend only lasts while she survives. The moment she leaves the board, the extra Legend goes with her, so opponents will throw everything at her. It’s a bit like a Mario star: incredibly strong, but only for as long as you avoid getting hit. My take is that she’ll be strongest in decks that can protect a key unit.
What we don’t know yet
Some important details are still open, which is why I wouldn’t jump to big conclusions. It isn’t confirmed yet whether the three extra Legends have to match your deck’s domains, and how she works with specific Legend effects will only become clear once the full set and the rules are out. You can read the card in full in Riot’s official card gallery.
What I’m watching for
The first real test comes at the Pre-Rift events from October 16 to 22 (see my Pre-Rift guide), and then at release on October 23. If Neeko shows up in winning decks, I’ll break those lists down on the Decks & meta page. For the rest of the set, my Radiance reveal covers all nine new Legends, and I’m especially curious how people will build around her once they’ve had a few weeks with the cards.
It are what it are.
