Jax, Grandmaster at Arms is the Equipment Legend in its purest form, as his whole plan is about getting the right weapon onto the right unit.

What his Legend does
Jax’s Legend is basically a pair of hands for your gear. For one Energy he can attach an Equipment that isn’t attached to anything to one of your units, and with a second ability he can move an attached Equipment to a different unit (Riot Games, n.d.-a). Both abilities exhaust him, so you only get one of them each turn.
His champion cards
Jax, Unmatched has Deflect, and every Equipment in your hand gets Quick-Draw, which gives it Reaction and attaches it to a unit you control when you play it. Jax, Unrelenting has Weaponmaster, so he can pick up an Equipment for one Power less when you play him, and whenever you attach an Equipment to him you may pay one Energy to draw a card (Riot Games, n.d.-a).

Why it matters
This is the most hands-on Equipment deck in the set. Quick-Draw lets you play gear at instant speed and attach it straight away, the Legend lets you reposition it, and Unrelenting draws you cards for doing it. It’s a bit like a Swiss Army knife where you can swap the tool in a second.
I think the risk is that gear is only as good as the unit holding it, so your fighters need to survive for the plan to work.
At the Regional Qualifiers
Jax has been one of the quieter Legends. He had 36 players in Los Angeles, 13 in Singapore and 19 in Barcelona, and his best finishes were 162nd, 380th and 337th, so he hasn’t made a Top 8 yet (Riot Games, 2026a, 2026b, 2026c).
These numbers are from before Radiance released, so they show the old meta. You can browse every Jax list we have on the Decks & meta page.
The Overnumbered version
The standard Legend is by Pandart Studio, and the Overnumbered alternate art is by Sugar Free (Riot Games, n.d.-a).

In League of Legends
Jax, the Grandmaster at Arms
Fighter · Icathia
Jax is the last known weaponmaster of Icathia, a homeland that was laid to waste by the Void, and he’s unrivaled with any weapon he picks up (Riot Games, n.d.-b).
From the Rift to the table
Jax is a weapon master in League, famous for fighting with a lamppost, and Weaponmaster is literally the keyword on his card Unrelenting. His Legend title, Grandmaster at Arms, says the same thing (Riot Games, n.d.-a; Riot Games, n.d.-b). His full story is on his official League of Legends champion page.
If you like Equipment, Jax has company, as our Ornn Spotlight and our Azir Spotlight both build around gear in different ways, and every Spotlight so far is on the Cards page. Next up is Rumble, who builds a team of Mechs.
It are what it are.
