Sivir, Battle Mistress is a mercenary, so it’s no surprise that her Legend is all about Gold.

What her Legend does
Sivir’s Legend makes Gold in a different way from Renata. Whenever you recycle a rune, you may exhaust her to play an exhausted Gold gear token, and whenever one or more enemy units die she readies, so she can do it again (Riot Games, n.d.-a).
Her champion cards
Sivir, Ambitious has Deflect 2, and when she conquers after an attack, if you assigned 5 or more excess damage to enemy units, you may deal that much to another enemy unit. Sivir, Mercenary has Accelerate, and if you’ve spent at least two Power this turn she gets +2 Might and Ganking (Riot Games, n.d.-a).

Why it matters
Mercenary is the card to look at. The more Power you spend, the bigger and more mobile she gets, and the Legend’s Gold helps you pay for it. It’s a bit like a mercenary in an RPG who works harder the more you pay her.
I think Ambitious is the sneaky one, as excess damage normally goes to waste, and here it can finish off a second unit.
At the Regional Qualifiers
Sivir has been rare. She had 21 players in Los Angeles, 14 in Singapore and 18 in Barcelona, and her best finishes were 146th, 144th and 79th, so she’s still waiting for her first big result. She sent 3 players into Day 2 in both Singapore and Barcelona (Riot Games, 2026a, 2026b, 2026c).
These numbers are from before Radiance released, so they show the old meta. All of our Sivir lists are on the Decks & meta page.
The Overnumbered version
The standard Legend is by Zhongqi Li, and the Overnumbered alternate art is by Envar Studio (Riot Games, n.d.-a).

In League of Legends
Sivir, the Battle Mistress
Marksman · Shurima
Sivir is a famous fortune hunter and mercenary from the deserts of Shurima, who fights with a legendary jeweled crossblade for anyone who can afford her price (Riot Games, n.d.-b).
From the Rift to the table
Sivir is a mercenary in League, so Gold and a card literally called Mercenary fit her perfectly. The Legend carries her League title, Battle Mistress (Riot Games, n.d.-a; Riot Games, n.d.-b). Her full story is on her official League of Legends champion page.
Our Renata Glasc Spotlight covers the other Gold deck, and every Spotlight so far is on the Cards page. Next up is Rek’Sai, the last of the Spiritforged Legends.
It are what it are.
