Draven, Glorious Executioner is the showman of Spiritforged, and his Legend rewards you every time you win a fight, which makes him a good fit for players who like to be the aggressor.

What his Legend does
Draven’s Legend works every turn without costing you anything. When you win a combat, you draw a card, and you win a combat when only your units remain afterwards (Riot Games, n.d.-a). That means every successful attack or defense refills your hand, so the more fights you win the more options you have.
His champion cards
Draven, Vanquisher plays a Gold gear token exhausted whenever he wins a combat, and when he attacks or defends you may pay one Fury Power to give him +2 Might that turn. Draven, Audacious has Deflect and scores you 1 point the first time he wins a combat each turn, but when he dies in combat your opponent scores 1 point as well (Riot Games, n.d.-a).

Why it matters
This is a high-risk, high-reward deck. The Legend draws you cards for winning and Vanquisher turns wins into Gold, while Audacious turns the first win each turn into a point, but he hands your opponent a point if he loses. It’s like going all in at poker when you think you’re ahead, where the payoff is big but the downside is real.
My take is that this deck wants to fight at every battlefield, so it should be at its most fun when your opponent can’t decide where to defend.
At the Regional Qualifiers
Draven has been popular but hasn’t broken into a Top 8 yet. He had his biggest crowd in Barcelona with 89 players, which was 4.2% of the field, compared to 48 in Singapore and 44 in Los Angeles, and his best finishes were 33rd in Barcelona, 27th in Singapore and 204th in Los Angeles (Riot Games, 2026a, 2026b, 2026c).
These numbers are from before Radiance released, so they show the old meta. All of our Draven lists are on the Decks & meta page.
The Overnumbered version
The standard Legend is by Pandart Studio, and the Overnumbered alternate art is by Envar Studio (Riot Games, n.d.-a).

In League of Legends
Draven, the Glorious Executioner
Marksman · Noxus
Draven is a Noxian who found that the crowd’s love for his brutal flair as an executioner was addictive. He fights as a showman now, spinning his axes for an audience and chasing the glory that comes with it (Riot Games, n.d.-b).
From the Rift to the table
Draven is all about showmanship and gold in League, and the card names fit that, as Vanquisher hands you Gold when he wins a fight and Audacious is exactly the attitude of a man who wants the crowd watching (Riot Games, n.d.-a; Riot Games, n.d.-b). His full story is on his official League of Legends champion page.
If you want to see another way to play the aggressor, our Darius Spotlight is built on momentum, and every Spotlight so far is on the Cards page. Next up is Fiora, who rewards you every time one of your units becomes Mighty.
It are what it are.
